Women of design

Alex Lier

Looks can be deceiving, and when you meet Alex you won’t realize what lies beneath. She is one of those women you talk to that makes you feel that you have been sitting around wasting your time. She was in the all girl German punk rock band, Twiggy Killers, then wanted a day job so entered advertising, all whilst shooting muscle cars throughout the US for the last nine years. She just signed a publishing deal to print her book, a mix of design and muscle cars, called Speedseekers. This is the webpage for the book. There is just a holding page now, but it will soon be a portal for race interest, info, history, pictures and music.

Eline Groeneweg

Another one who has her finger in a lot of pies. A friend of mine met Eline at a Grafisch Atelier screen printing course. She is a promoter of young artists and is in the middle of setting up her own company designing wall pieces for interiors, combining text and image on paper and textiles. As soon as the website is up I will post the address to have a look at.
