I'm JAC
My mother comes from Germany and my father came from the Netherlands. We moved around a couple of times, a lot of things change when you move, what stays the same are the things you like to do on your own, drawing has always been one of those things for me.
Because I couldn't draw anything else than girls, I always drew girls with different clothes.
Then in 1993 I received a Bachelor of Arts degree and started working freelance, with a group of Illustrators and designers at an advertising agency as a visualiser and design-assistant. I started to work on the Macintosh with Photoshop and Illustrator and got really exited about it.
In 1996 I moved to Rotterdam and developed my Illustration skills. At that time I was inspired by Japanese art, manga comics and the Designers Republic.
Nowadays still in Rotterdam I'm inspired by many things like nature, music, people, graphic design, movies, architecture and fashion.
Clients include: Vibe, Marie Claire UK, ESPN, WIRED, Jimmy'z, Moonstruck, Beyman Club, Bijenkorf, Ferrero, Coca Cola, La City, Toyota, Gavello, L’Oreal, Primark, Sainsbury’s, Printemps.
Take a look at Irene’s work, it is really cool:
